We are a registered UK charity that exists to improve policing for the public through the use, production and communication of evidence based practices in policing.
We've been around since 2012 and although we're run by and for police personnel, we're an entirely independent grassroots organisation.

Evidence-based policing
Evidence-based policing means making better decisions using the best evidence available.
It brings together research, police data, professional experience and what communities need. The aim is simple: to understand what is most likely to work, for whom and in what circumstances.
It can help with decisions across policing, from preventing crime and investigating offences to leadership, training, policy and organisational change.
Research is rarely complete and findings do not always agree. Evidence should inform professional judgement, not replace it, and decisions still need to reflect local circumstances.
